App Terms of Service

The short version
- AI Accountability Coach is a self-directed habit accountability app, not medical care or therapy.
- The coach is AI, not a real person, and its replies can be wrong.
- You own what you write, but you let us process it to provide the Service.
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google; refunds follow their policies.
Welcome to AI Accountability Coach, an AI-powered habit accountability application developed and operated by TANAB TECHNOLOGIES JOINT STOCK COMPANY (“TanabTech”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the app, website pages related to the app, and related services (together, the “Service”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
Plain English: the app is for adults who can agree to these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and can enter into a binding agreement. We may suspend or close accounts that do not meet this requirement.
2. The Service
Plain English: the app helps you reflect on habits and check in with an AI coach.
The Service lets you create habits, check in through chat, receive AI-generated coaching responses, review progress, set reminders, and manage app settings. Features may change over time as we improve the product.
We do not guarantee any specific result, habit change, productivity improvement, health outcome, or personal outcome from using the Service.
3. What this app is not
Plain English: this is a software tool, not a clinician, therapist, doctor, or emergency service.
The Service is for self-directed habit reflection and accountability only. It does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, nutritional, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice. It is not a substitute for professional healthcare, mental-health treatment, clinical counseling, diagnosis, or crisis support.
If you may harm yourself or someone else, or if you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
4. AI disclaimer
Plain English: the coach is AI, and AI can make mistakes.
AI responses are generated dynamically based on your inputs and available context. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for evaluating responses before relying on them. Do not treat the AI coach as a real person or licensed professional.
5. Accounts and security
Plain English: keep your account information accurate and protect your login.
You may register with Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us at contact@tanabtech.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. User content
Plain English: you own what you write, and we need permission to process it so the app can work.
You retain ownership of habit descriptions, messages, notes, goals, and other content you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You grant TanabTech a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, analyze, and display User Content solely to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that you have the rights needed to submit it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, infringing, or harmful.
7. Subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds
Plain English: subscriptions are optional and run through Apple or Google.
Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store or process your payment card details directly.
You can cancel at any time through your device’s app-store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple or Google under their refund policies.
8. Acceptable use
Plain English: do not use the app to harm people, break the law, attack the service, or manipulate the AI system.
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, abusive, or harmful purposes;
- submit content that violates another person’s rights or privacy;
- attempt to jailbreak, manipulate, or bypass AI safety systems;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract the Service or underlying models;
- probe, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- use the Service to generate malware, spam, or instructions for wrongdoing;
- misrepresent yourself or impersonate another person or entity.
9. Suspension and termination
Plain English: we can limit or close accounts that break these terms or threaten the service.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the Service, fail eligibility requirements, or use the app in a way that may expose TanabTech or others to liability. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from the app.
10. Our intellectual property
Plain English: the product, brand, and software are ours; your personal content remains yours.
All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including design, code, branding, product names, logos, text, and other materials, are owned by TanabTech or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as permitted here.
11. Third-party services
Plain English: app stores, AI providers, cloud services, and payment infrastructure have their own terms too.
The Service depends on third-party services, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Firebase / Google Cloud, Anthropic, and OpenAI. Your use of app stores, sign-in providers, purchases, and device-level services may also be governed by their terms and privacy policies.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
Plain English: we provide the app as a software service, without promising it will be perfect or always available.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or suitable for you.
13. Limitation of liability
Plain English: our liability is limited to the extent the law allows.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TanabTech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or personal outcomes arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us through the Service in the three months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
14. Indemnification
Plain English: if your misuse of the app creates a claim against us, you may need to cover the resulting costs.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TanabTech and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your User Content, misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights.
15. Governing law and disputes
Plain English: these terms are governed by Vietnamese law, and disputes start with good-faith negotiation.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The parties will first try to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation within 30 days. If unresolved, the dispute will be submitted to the competent People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
Plain English: if terms change, the date changes, and material updates are called out.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
